EYE SOCKET GENERAL
The framework of EYE SOCKET GENERAL was assembled within the month of May'96.
Creative ideas were then converted to analogue tape with
the purchase of a second hand 4-track recorder, and the use of a
basic keyboard(value of 200$), which was purchased years ago. Later on
a drum machine, effect racks, and an upgraded keyboard helped the
EYE SOCKET GENERAL project further progress into a multi-layered all-out soundscape.
Within a year, songs have ranged from haunting ambient pieces, white noise and
avant-garde sound collages.
Musical influences are drawn from previous stints in death metal and noise pop
bands, as well as being served with the listening pleasures of APHEX TWIN, early
grindcore (NAPALM DEATH,CARCASS,etc.), current noise projects, ALEC EMPIRE,
DEPECHE MODE, THE PRODIGY, and black metal bands such as EMPEROR, and IMPALED
NAZARENE.
EYE SOCKET GENERAL wishes to expand his sound within the confines of electronic
music, whether it be ambient/trance, tribal, techno, noise, and exercise his
imagination into a strong creative force to eliminate the false senseless dance
pop drival that yuppie class club goers are led to believe is "techno". EYE
SOCKET GENERAL hears beauty within manipulative sound excursions and believes in
a musical progression within the "electronica" realm.
